Panagiotis D. Papagiannopoulos is an Orthopaedic Surgeon - Traumatologist, born in Athens in 1979.He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens in 2003 with a degree of "Very good". He specialized in the 2nd Orthopaedic Clinic of the Athens General Hospital "EVANGELISMOS".
As part of his specialization, he worked at the Clinic of Hand - Upper Limb Surgery and Microsurgery as well as at the Department of Sports Injuries of the General Hospital of Attica KAT and the 2nd Orthopaedic Clinic of the General Children's Hospital of Athens "P. & A. Kyriakou".
He obtained the title of Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2012. Holder of the 13th Postgraduate Programme in Emergency Pre-Hospital Medical Care, EKAB Athens (Ministry of Health), Duration of Training: 1 year, 2008. Graduate Diploma (M.Sc.) in Health Unit Management, Hellenic Open University (Patras, Greece, 2011).
He received the title of Fellow of the E.B.O.T. (European Society of Orthopaedics & Traumatology) after examinations by the E.F.O.R.T. (European Federation of National Societies of Orthopaedics & Traumatology) in 2013.
He worked as a salaried Orthopaedic and Traumatology Attending Surgeon at Vitos Orthopedic Clinic Kassel, St. Katharinen Hospital (Cologne) and Klinikum Nordfriesland (Schleswig-Holstein), Germany from 2013 to 2018, when he returned to Greece, specializing in arthroscopic surgery and arthroplasty of large joints.
He has worked as Consultant of the Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) Clinic of Metropolitan General from April 2018 to September 2019. Now he serves as a Consultant in the Clinic of Sports Injuries and Minimally Invasive Orthopaedic Surgery at IASO Amarousiou.
He is a Scientific Associate of the Orthopaedic Clinic of "Iaso Children's" as well as of the Athens Medical Center (P. Faliro and Peristeri Clinics). He maintains an office in the centre of Piraeus (on Terpsithea Square).
He has published scientific work in international journals, has presented papers in Greek and International Conferences of Orthopaedic Interest and has been a member of organizing committees of Orthopaedic Conferences. He holds a certification in the field of sports injuries from FIFA (FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine).
